State NRM Program

Welcome to the State Natural Resource Management Program's SmartyGrants home page.

An initiative of the Western Australian Government, the State NRM Program recognises the efforts of WA's local, not-for-profit and volunteer-based NRM groups by supporting them to achieve on-ground outcomes and expand their influence and impact into the wider community.

The State NRM Program comprises three grant rounds to support community engagement and participation in natural resource management.

Two types of grants are currently available through the Program:

  • Community Action Grants;
  • Community Capability Grants.

Eighty per cent of the funding will be invested from the Western Australian Government's Royalties for Regions program.
